You know something's off. You're just not sure what.
Recognition
Maybe you're unhappy at work and haven't made a single move to change it. Maybe you talk yourself out of asking someone out every time you consider it, or you've been meaning to get your life in order for years without knowing why it never sticks. If any of that sounds familiar, ADHD is often part of the story, even when no one's ever said so directly.
The connected picture
One diagnosis. A lot of downstream effects.
Anxiety, depression, OCD, shame, career stress, and trouble regulating emotions often travel with ADHD. I treat all of it as one connected picture, not six separate problems on a checklist.

About Me
I'm not guessing at this from the outside.
I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, after years of assuming I was just bad at life. I know what it's like to build a life around coping strategies that eventually stop working, and what it actually takes to change that.
I'll tell you if ADHD isn't the right explanation for what you're dealing with. I can also make sense of an assessment you already have, jargon and all, and tell you whether it holds up. And if medication would help, I'll say so, because paired with therapy, it's still the most effective treatment we have.
Meet Dr. ShayMy goal is for you to leave therapy.
I'm not interested in keeping you here indefinitely. I want you to leave with tools that are actually yours, and a clear sense of what changing your life takes, so you can keep doing it without me.
