OCD Therapy in Columbus, Ohio
Get your time and attention back from OCD.
OCD can take over a lot of your day, and a lot of your headspace. Exposure and response prevention (ERP) helps you face it step by step.
Recognition
Does any of this sound familiar?
- Intrusive thoughts that feel wrong, and you can’t shake them.
- Rituals or checking that eat up your day, even when you know they don’t make sense.
- You keep seeking reassurance, and the relief never lasts.
- You avoid places, people, or situations to keep a thought from showing up.
- Managing it all is crowding out work, relationships, and rest.
- You’ve been told to “just stop thinking about it.” You wish it worked that way.
If so, OCD may be part of the story. It’s more common, and more treatable, than most people think.
Approach
How treatment works.
ERP, step by step
ERP means gradually facing what triggers your obsessions while holding off on the compulsion. We start small and build up.
Your plan, in your order
We build a list of your triggers together and choose the order. Nothing happens by surprise.
Practice in real life
Change happens between sessions, so we plan practice for your daily life and track progress along the way.
Straight talk, with humor
OCD is exhausting, and sometimes absurd. My style is gentle and often humorous, and I’ll tell you plainly what to expect.
The method
What ERP looks like.
You face a trigger, feel the urge, skip the ritual, and let the anxiety pass. Over time, the trigger loses its grip.
OCD can show up alongside ADHD, or on its own.

15 minutes, no commitment. We talk about what’s going on and whether I’m the right fit.
-
Step 2
Intake evaluation
A 60-minute session to understand your obsessions, compulsions, and what they cost you, and to agree on where to start.
-
Step 3
Therapy sessions
45 or 60 minutes. We plan exposures together, practice, and track progress. The aim is for you to leave with tools that are actually yours.
What we work toward.
- Obsessions that carry less weight.
- Less time and energy spent on rituals.
- More of your life, with less avoiding.
- Confidence that you can handle uncertainty.
Not sure it’s OCD? Or not sure ERP is for you?
That’s fine. ERP asks you to face uncomfortable things, so I’ll tell you what that looks like before you decide. And if OCD isn’t the right explanation, I’ll say so.
