These are my self-pay rates. If you’re using insurance, what you pay depends on your plan’s copay, coinsurance, or deductible.

I’m in-network with:

Coverage depends on your specific plan, so it’s worth confirming your benefits before we start.
Checking your coverage
Call the number on your insurance card and ask:
- Am I covered for outpatient mental health care with Dr. Jonathan Shay?
- What are my outpatient mental health benefits?
- What’s my deductible, and how much of it have I met?
- What’s my copay or coinsurance per session?
Paying on your own
I accept credit cards and HSA cards. If my practice is out-of-network with your plan, I can provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. What you get back depends on your plan.
If you’re not using insurance, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of what your care is expected to cost.
